📢📢 UPDATES UPDATES 📢📢
We are extremely sad to officially announce that Brisbane Zouk Festival 2021 in November will not be going ahead this year again due to current restrictions.
We have been waiting and gearing up for this event and communicating with all of our artists here in Australia & New Zealand since last year. And again had all the intention to give you the best weekend of dancing, reconnecting and enjoying all that the beautiful venue, the Old Museum, has to offer.
However, as we have all experienced, this year has been extra challenging and full of uncertainties due to the new variant of Covid, and having especially affected our cities of Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra the most with extended lockdowns. Our hearts go out to everyone and all of our friends who have been affected, and our encouraging well wishes to all of our resilient dance communities around Australia and New Zealand who have had to cope and manage around these challenges.
Once again, we would like to ask our registered festival attendees for your support and if possible to transfer your tickets to next year. We will automatically transfer your tickets to BZF 2022, or alternatively can credit towards our Cloud9Zouk Mid Year Ball Weekender in June 2022, if your preference is to move it to a closer date.
However, if you prefer a refund we are happy to provide that with no hesitation. Please contact us through email or FB if this is the case.
Although we are postponing our beloved festival until next year, we are feeling so much more optimistic that the situation will be much improved and will have less uncertainty in 2022, and looking forward to bringing back BZF bigger and stronger, and hopefully can have everyone joining us again. 💖
So please pencil in the new dates, which we can now confirm for BZF 2022 will be from 10th - 13th November 2022.
We have again secured your favourite hotels deals and also have negotiated new accommodation packages for you to have an amazing experience once again with us.
Our aim has been to always do our best to bring all of our awesome national artists from around Aus & NZ back to BZF, and to give all of our attendees a warm, inclusive and friendly space to learn, dance and connect with new & old friends. Also, Brisbane Zouk Festival has been the event with the aim of introducing new talents, and giving the opportunity to our talented national artists to showcase their wonderful selves, as well as introducing new and amazing international artists, and we can assure you that you can expect the same for BZF 2022 (depending on international travel situation for our overseas artists component).
Last year we were fortunate enough to be able to run a smaller event for the same weekend to mark this festival, which is so special to us. And we are planning to run a similar local event again this year, especially for those of you who can still join us and have perhaps already organised flights & accommodation. Plus, if there is any chance that the current crisis and lockdowns will end by mid November, we would like to have something in place for our interstate friends to be able to join us and reunite for a great weekend of dancing.
Here is a link to some more information for the replacement event:
Looking forward to a more positive and easier year ahead for all of us in 2022, and to finally being able to have all of our wonderful dancers and friends all again under the one roof. And although we are so disappointed for this year, we can't wait to welcome you all next year with warm hugs to Brisbane Zouk Festival 2022, for another weekend of Community, Fun & Friendship ❤️
❤️❤️🤗
